Credentials and Experience

The President of WAGNER ACCOUNTING LIMITED, Eric R. Wagner, CMA, has worked as an accountant since 1986, following his graduation from a College Accounting and Business program. He then pursued his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) professional accounting designation while working full-time at progressively senior positions. He successfully completed his university courses, as well as the CMA Professional Program and was awarded the CMA designation in 1995. Eric has a solid background in various industries and accounting disciplines. His work experience includes inventory and cost management, financial accounting, as well as the senior management position of Controller. In 2003, Eric opened his own accounting firm, which has grown steadily since that time.

Eric possesses well-developed organizational skills and is detail-oriented. He is adept at financial statement preparation, general accounting functions, and is equally proficient in the more advanced concepts involved in financial statement analysis. These analytical skills are essential for accurate evaluation of company performance and critical for effective decision making by management.

Eric is experienced in system conversions, implementations and upgrades. He can develop and implement budgets, as well as processes to monitor and control cash flows, both receivables and payables. He understands the intricacies of personal income taxes (including those related to sole proprietorships and partnerships) and corporate (T2) income taxation, including issues pertaining to the HST. In addition, he is able to address and solve issues concerning compliance with Federal and Provincial governmental regulations.
